Children In Need 2022

We are thrilled to have performed at this fabulous concert at Bingley Arts Centre in aid of ‘Children In Need’. We were one of several groups involved in this fundraiser. The other performers were Hot Aire Concert Band, Bradford and Airedale Youth Choir, Hall Royd Band, Fresh Aire, and Ilkley Stage Singers. Together we managed to raise an amazing £5,020.82! All of the music was fun, uplifting and aimed specifically at children and families. There was a real ‘feel good’ atmosphere and the audiences were full of appreciation and applause. What a wonderful event. Thank you to everyone involved!

Christmas Concerts 2022

We had a wonderful time at our Christmas Concert. It was a lovely way to end the term and left us all feeling very festive indeed.  We performed two concerts and shared the stage with our sister choir ‘Ilkley Stage Singers’.   A gorgeous range of repertoire was performed including “A Christmas Wish”, “In the Bleak Midwinter”, “December Prayer”, “When Christmas Comes to Town” and “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.  It was also great to have 16 soloists featured throughout the concert within the songs.  Well done to everyone involved and Merry Christmas!

Hot Aire! Concert

We’re excited to announce our debut concert will be at the Bingley Little Theatre at Bingley Arts Centre on Saturday 15th June 2019

We will be performing as the guests of Hot Aire! Concert Band at their 30th Anniversary Concert.   In the first half of the concert Hot Aire! will be playing songs from Shows/Musicals and Film/TV and the second half will feature popular songs from the charts past and present such as Bruno Mars and Earth Wind and Fire.  IYC will perform a set of songs in the first half and then sing a piece in collaboration with the band in the second half!  This will be a night to remember and we can’t wait to share the stage with Hot Aire!

Ilkley Carnival 2019

We are thrilled to tell you that we have been invited to perform at Ilkley Carnival on Monday 6th May. More details to follow soon!

This year’s theme is “Shows and Musicals” and we can’t wait to sing a few musical theatre numbers from some popular shows such as Les Misérables, Matilda, and The Greatest Showman.  We will have only had a few rehearsals by the time of the Carnival so we intend to perform some well-known songs with simple harmonies and also some unison songs so that we can enjoy the chance to perform with confidence and hopefully recruit a few new members at the same time!

“Whether you’re crazy for Chicago, fanatical about Fame or wild for Wicked, Ilkley Carnival is set to be the go-to event this year. Despite the growth of digital entertainment, the theatre has made a huge comeback over the past decade with the success of shows such as Matilda and Miss Saigon. It’s time to draw back the red curtains on Ilkley and kick start our most joyous carnival yet!”

Andrew Stacey, Chair of the Ilkley Carnival Committee

Further details such as timings will be confirmed soon!
